Welcome to Yoga by Rubinesq

Classes with Deborah Rubin focus on bringing about a feeling of calm, centeredness and enhanced sense of well-being. Classes are designed to increase your flexibility, strength, focus, energy and stamina by combining physical (postures) with breathing exercises plus some meditation; all of which embraces a balanced approach.

Try a class and when you sign up for a series, then your first class will be free.

Saturday Stretch & Strength

Saturday Stretch & Strength is for those with a minimum of one year’s experience with Yoga who are ready to take the next steps towards deeper mind, body, spirit integration.  Our practice includes a mindful approach to asanas (postures), pranayama (breath work), chanting, and meditation.  The dynamic yet simple series of the Sun Salutations, as well as stretching and toning postures that build overall body strength and flexibility are the foundation of this class. Participants should have at least a basic knowledge of this series.  Saturday Stretch & Strength focuses on techniques to balance the mind, emotions and spirit.  

Wednesday Stretch & Strength

This class is for both beginners and more experienced students with a moderate fitness level. Wednesday Stretch & Strength combines the gentleness of stretching with the building of strength.  The dynamic yet simple series of the Sun Salutations, as well as stretching and toning postures that build overall body strength and flexibility are the foundation of this class.  Participants will learn the foundation of the Sun Salutation series.  Wednesday Stretch & Strength focuses on breathing, stretching, toning, mind awareness and meditation.

Gentle Stretch & Tone

This gentle class is for both beginners and more experienced students. Gentle Stretch & Tone combines the gentleness of stretching with the building of strength. The entire body is worked through a series of postures that combine body awareness and breathing as the main focus. Gentle Stretch & Tone opens the joints, lengthens the muscles and tones the body to enable us to enjoy our lives with freedom of body and mind.

Sun Salutations Workshops

The Sun Salutations is a series of twelve Yoga postures that flow gently from one pose into the next. Benefits are numerous as it enhances overall health, strength, flexibility, agility, balance, focus, stamina and more. This simple yet dynamic routine is one of the most comprehensive series of mind-body programs that integrates three integral elements: movement, breath and mindfulness. The Sun Salutations are an integral part of the Stretch and Strength classes.
